What they need

About the role
We're looking for someone to own the operations and run one of our Liebherr MK140s. It's a state-of-the-art, computer-driven machine, and it drives our production. You'll train alongside our lead tower crane operator for the first few months, then it's your crane. You'll run it, care for it and keep it ready to work every day.

This isn't just a seat in a crane. We have plenty of people who can run it. We're looking for the one who wants to be the best at it. You set the pace on the job. You'll have the next piece ready before the connectors are, and you'll want to beat them every time. Your performance is measured by the production on the job.

No construction experience needed. We'll teach you the trade. What we need is someone who's good with technology, learns fast and takes pride in their work.

What you'll do

  • Train under our lead tower crane operator and learn our lifting process
  • Earn your NCCCO tower crane certification
  • Run the MK140 every day and set the production pace on our jobsites
  • Wash it, inspect it and keep it maintained
  • Fix it when needed, working with our team and the manufacturer
  • Carry a fuel cell in your truck to fuel the crane
  • Carry the crane's rigging in your truck
  • Drive the crane between jobsites once you have your CDL
  • Travel to projects across Indiana, Michigan, Illinois and Ohio

What we're looking for

  • Real care about the work and the dedication to learn our process. The best operators put the hook where it needs to be before anyone asks and stay five steps ahead of the crew on the ground.
  • A competitive drive to be the best and to push production
  • The ability to run multiple functions at the same time and understand what those functions do together
  • A tech background, or someone who's comfortable with advanced controls, screens and software
  • Video game experience; if you're good with a controller, you'll pick this up fast
  • Good vision, with or without glasses or contacts. You'll need to judge distance and depth on the loads you're lifting and read the crane's screens clearly.
  • Willingness to get a CDL (we pay for it)
  • Willingness to travel
  • Within 1 hours of Fort Wayne

Preferred

  • Equipment operating experience, like a forklift, telehandler or any heavy equipment

Pay and benefits

  • Overtime after 40 hours, paid weekly, year-round work
  • Company truck once you've gained experience
  • Per diem on travel work
  • Health, dental and vision
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Profit sharing
  • Paid holidays and PTO
  • CDL training paid by the company
  • NCCCO certification paid by the company (retention agreement required)

Other offers great for you!
