With a strong national presence, the company is recognised for producing high-quality equipment and consistently delivering on customer expectations. Its range includes self-erecting and top-slewing tower cranes, including luffing-jib, hammerhead and topless models used across major construction and infrastructure projects throughout Australia.

Customers are supported by an established national network of service technicians, product specialists and parts teams, ensuring they have access to reliable technical support and consistently high levels of service.

The company offers an excellent culture focused on safety and continuous development, with genuine opportunities for employees to progress their careers while earning an exceptional salary.

The Position

This is an opportunity for an experienced Tower Crane Technician to join a leading crane OEM servicing self-erecting and top-slewing tower cranes, including luffing-jib, hammerhead and topless cranes.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Pre-delivery inspections and commissioning of new tower cranes
  • Supporting crane erection & installation
  • Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
  • Electrical fault-finding, diagnostics and repairs
  • Working with variable-speed drives, PLCs, electronic control systems, safety circuits, limit switches, sensors and onboard diagnostic systems
  • Breakdown support at customer sites
  • Providing high-quality technical support and customer service
  • Completing service reports and relevant safety documentation

The company is open to candidates relocating from elsewhere in Australia or New Zealand. Applications are also welcomed from experienced candidates who require employer sponsorship or are currently sponsored and seeking to transfer employers.

Candidates must have relevant tower crane experience and hold an electrical qualification obtained in either Australia or New Zealand.

The Benefits

  • Excellent hourly rate of $60-$70 per hour
  • Superannuation, fully maintained vehicle and overtime
  • Predominantly Monday-to-Friday position
  • No FIFO roster or regular work away from home
  • Relocation and sponsorship opportunities for suitable candidates
  • Genuine OEM training and technical support
  • High-quality machinery with an excellent industry reputation
  • Established customer base with strong customer loyalty
  • Support from experienced technicians, product specialists and parts teams
  • Genuine career-development and progression opportunities

The Candidate

The successful candidate must be a qualified electrician with significant experience servicing and repairing tower cranes.

You may currently work for a crane contractor, crane hire company, service agent, dealership or OEM; however, hands-on tower crane experience and strong electrical fault-finding capabilities are essential.

You will also possess:

  • An unrestricted (a Grade) electrical qualification obtained in Australia or New Zealand
  • Experience with servicing tower cranes
  • Knowledge of variable-speed drives, PLCs, electronic controls, safety circuits, limit switches, sensors and diagnostic systems
  • Excellent electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage your own workload
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills
  • A commitment to safe work practices
  • A current driver's licence

This position requires someone who can confidently hit the ground running in a tower crane service environment.
