What they need
We’re looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager - Space Systems to lead the execution of complex spacecraft programs from development through integration, test, launch and operational readiness.
This role requires someone with technical depth, ideally with a background in Systems Engineering, who has progressed into programme leadership. You’ll work across engineering teams, suppliers and key stakeholders to ensure technical priorities, schedules, risks and programme milestones remain aligned.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical programme execution across the spacecraft development lifecycle.
- Coordinate Systems Engineering, hardware, software, manufacturing, integration & test and mission operations teams.
- Own programme schedules, dependencies, critical paths and key milestones.
- Identify technical and programme risks early and drive mitigation plans.
- Coordinate external suppliers and partners, ensuring delivery against programme requirements.
- Support spacecraft integration, environmental testing, launch preparation and operational readiness.
- Drive alignment between engineering teams, programme leadership and external stakeholders.
Key Requirements
- 8+ years of experience within space, aerospace or complex high-reliability systems.
- Previous experience managing spacecraft, satellite systems or complex space programmes.
- Strong technical foundation, ideally within Systems Engineering.
- Experience working across multidisciplinary engineering organisations.
- Understanding of spacecraft development, integration, test and verification.
- Experience managing technical schedules, risks and programme dependencies.
- Background within a major aerospace, defence or space organisation highly desirable.
- Strong employment tenure, with evidence of seeing complex programmes through major milestones.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Able to work on-site in Westminster, Colorado, Tuesday–Thursday, with approximately 10–15% travel.
This is an opportunity for a technically credible programme leader to take ownership of a highly complex spacecraft programme. It would particularly suit someone who has moved from Systems Engineering into programme leadership and wants to remain close to the technology while driving successful delivery.
