Capital Karts Star City is looking for enthusiastic, responsible and customer-focused Track Marshals to join our team.

As one of Birmingham's leading indoor karting venues, we provide high-energy racing experiences for individuals, families, birthdays, corporate events, stag and hen parties and much more.

Our Track Marshals play a vital role in making sure every customer has a safe, enjoyable and memorable experience.

What will you be doing?

As a Track Marshal, your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring the karting track and ensuring customers follow all safety procedures.
• Remaining alert and positioned at your designated marshal post whenever customers are on track.
• Responding quickly and appropriately to incidents, stopped karts and customer assistance requests.
• Helping to maintain a safe and controlled racing environment.
• Communicating clearly with the Race Director and other members of the track team.
• Assisting customers before, during and after their sessions.
• Checking that customers are following the venue's safety instructions.
• Helping with kart recovery and track clearance when required.
• Reporting any safety concerns, incidents or customer issues to the appropriate manager.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and professional track area.
• Providing excellent customer service and helping create a fun atmosphere for our guests.
• Following all Capital Karts health, safety and operational procedures.

Previous karting experience is not essential as full training will be provided.

Experience in karting, hospitality, leisure, customer service, events, sports or a similar fast-paced environment would be an advantage.

This role requires

Due to the nature of the role, successful applicants must be comfortable working on their feet for extended periods and working in a noisy, fast-paced environment.

You must be able to follow strict safety procedures and remain focused whenever customers are on track.

Reliability is extremely important. Our Track Marshals are responsible for customer safety, so punctuality, attendance and following the correct absence notification procedures are essential.

Hours

This is a zero-hours/part-time position, with shifts available across:

• Weekdays
• Evenings
• Weekends
• School holidays
• Peak periods and special events

Flexibility is essential, and availability will be required in advance for rota planning.
