Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Tractor Trailer / Triaxle Driver, where your expertise will keep goods moving efficiently and safely across diverse routes. In this vital role, you will operate heavy-duty tractor-trailers and triaxle trucks, transporting freight such as sand, gravel, mulch, and specialized cargo. Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailer and triaxle trucks across over local routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
• Load and unload freight efficiently, ensuring cargo integrity during transport.
• Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and adapt to traffic or road conditions.
• Transport a variety of freight.
• Deliver freight to designated locations with precision, maintaining professional communication with dispatch and customers throughout the process.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in compliance with FMCSA regulations.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, specifically with tractor-trailers or triaxle trucks.
• Strong knowledge of logistics cargo handling, truck loading/unloading, and route driving best practices.
• Familiarity with tractor trailers, flatbeds, dump trailers, walking floor trailers and triaxles, and transporting goods safely.
• Skilled in manual transmission operation and vehicle manual handling techniques.
• Ability to utilize GPS navigation systems effectively for route planning and real-time adjustments.
• Excellent understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA standards, and regulations governing commercial trucking.
• Exceptional driving skills with a clean driving record; experience in delivery driving preferred.
