Trade Assistant

Turner Talent is seeking experienced Trade Assistants for a well-established heavy industrial operation based in Mackay.

Consistent 10–12 hour days and the potential to transition into a permanent position, this is a great opportunity for someone looking for solid hours and longer-term stability.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting tradespeople with mechanical, maintenance and repair work
• Assembly and disassembly of equipment and components
• Using hand and power tools
• Preparing, moving and handling materials and equipment
• General workshop and industrial Trade Assistant duties

What we're looking for

• Previous Trade Assistant, Mechanical TA or similar industrial/workshop experience
• Mechanically minded and confident using hand and power tools
• Experience in mining, heavy industry, manufacturing or maintenance highly regarded
• Reliable, safety focused and comfortable working 10–12 hour days
• Current driver's licence and reliable transport
