About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Trade Assistant / Rigger /Franna Operator **(when required)**to join our workshop team in Naval Base, WA on a casual basis.

This role would suit someone with hands-on workshop experience who is confident assisting tradespeople, moving and positioning materials, and carrying out basic rigging activities in a busy fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Boilermakers, Welders and other trades in the workshop
• Carry out general Trade Assistant duties as required
• Assist with lifting, moving and positioning steel and fabricated components
• Undertake basic rigging and dogging activities
• Operate Franna when required
• Use workshop tools and equipment safely
• Assist with loading and unloading materials
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
• Follow all site and workshop safety procedures

To Be Successful You Will Have

• Previous experience as a Trade Assistant in a workshop or fabrication environment
• Rigging and dogging experience
• Current High Risk Work Licence - Basic Rigging (RB) preferred
• Dogging (DG) licence highly regarded
• CN6 Ticket
• White Card
• Driver's Licence
• Ability to safely handle materials and work around heavy equipment
• Strong safety focus and reliable work ethic
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
