About the role
 
Looking for a role that gets you out on the road and keeps you active? Our Napier Branch is on the hunt for a confident and reliable Trade Sales / Driver to join our awesome team!
 
If you enjoy being hands-on, working with a great bunch of people, and providing excellent service to customers, this could be the perfect role for you.

This role could be a great fit for Plumbers, Tradies, or those from a trade background who are looking to step away from the tools while still staying connected to the industry. Your practical knowledge and customer-focused approach will be highly valued as you help support customers and the wider team.

What your day will look like:

• Delivering products to sites and building strong relationships with our customers.
• Serving at the trade counter, ensuring customers get what they need to get their day started.
• Supporting other areas of the branch as needed.

• Customer-focused - whether you're in the branch or on the road.
• Physically fit - comfortable with some heavy lifting (up to 20kgs)
• Positive attitude - keen to learn and help wherever needed.
• Flexible and reliable - willing to roll up your sleeves and pitch in.
• A hands-on team player - ready to load the truck and meet customers on-site.
• Trade knowledge is a bonus, but not essential - we'll teach you what you need to know!

This role is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:30 am - 4:30 pm with rostered Saturdays.
 
To be successful in this role you will need:

• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations.
• Good retail sales & excellent customer service skills.
• Reliable with a great attitude.
• Good time management is a must.
• Work well under pressure while displaying good sound logic.
• A customer-first mindset is critical.
• Physically fit as there will be some heavy lifting (up to 20kgs)
• Full, clean Class 1 New Zealand drivers' licence.
• A valid forklift licence is preferred but not essential.
• Pride in personal appearance with great interpersonal skills.
