Trademark Associate

Job Summary

We are looking for a Trademark Associate with a minimum of 2 years of experience to handle trademark prosecution and opposition matters at our Ahmedabad office.

Responsibilities

• Conduct trademark searches and advise on registrability
• Draft and file trademark applications before the Trade Marks Registry
• Draft replies to examination reports and attend show-cause hearings
• Draft notices of opposition, counter-statements and evidence affidavits
• Handle opposition hearings
• Draft legal notices, replies and affidavits
• Conduct legal research and support case strategy
• Support client advisory and trademark portfolio management
• Track deadlines and renewals, and ensure procedural compliance with the Trade Marks Registry

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of the Trade Marks Act, 1999 and the Trade Marks Rules, 2017
• Excellent legal drafting and research skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines
• Experience appearing in hearings before the Trade Marks Registry
