Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse global natural rubber markets, including physical and futures markets, to identify market trends, trading opportunities and potential risks.
• Develop and execute natural rubber trading strategies across relevant futures and physical markets, including SGX, INCE and TOCOM.
• Manage big volume of daily trading activities, including position management, pricing, hedging and execution, in accordance with the Company's trading strategies and risk management framework.
• Provide timely market intelligence, price outlooks and trading recommendations to the Commercial and Management teams.
• Take ownership of daily pricing and prepare competitive customer price offers based on market conditions, trading positions, costs and commercial objectives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, brokers and other market participants to identify business and trading opportunities.
• Lead commercial discussions and negotiate pricing and trading terms with customers and counterparties where required.
• Analyse market fundamentals, including supply and demand, weather, production, inventory levels, currency movements and other macroeconomic factors affecting natural rubber prices.
• Monitor and manage trading positions and exposures, ensuring that trading activities remain within approved limits and risk parameters.
• Work closely with Sales, Operations, Finance and other internal teams to ensure smooth execution and settlement of trading transactions.
• Maintain accurate trading records and prepare regular reports on market developments, trading positions, profitability and performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve trading strategies, customer coverage and overall commercial performance.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior members of the trading and commercial team.
• Perform other trading and commercial duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Trading, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in commodity trading, preferably with direct experience in natural rubber or agricultural commodities.
• Proven experience in physical commodity trading and/or futures trading, with the ability to independently manage trading activities and positions.
• Strong understanding of commodity pricing, futures markets, hedging strategies and trading risk management.
• Hands-on experience with SGX, INCE, TOCOM or other relevant commodity exchanges is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of natural rubber market fundamentals, supply and demand dynamics and global market drivers.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret market data and translate market developments into actionable trading strategies.
• Proven commercial and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and market participants.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across commercial, trading and operational teams.
• Able to work independently, make timely decisions and perform effectively in a fast-paced and highly dynamic trading environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant trading or market data systems.
• Strong sense of commercial awareness, accountability and risk management.
• Proficient in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese to communicate and collaborate effectively with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
