Trading Operations Lead – Power Sector

The Trading Operations Lead is responsible for supervising the day-to-day trading operations, ensuring timely and accurate execution of power scheduling, market transactions, settlements, and regulatory compliance. The role supports operational efficiency, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, and assists in achieving the company's trading objectives.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or any related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in the power industry, preferably in RCOA or WESM operations.
• Experience in supervising or leading a small team is an advantage.
• Knowledgeable in WESM operations, RCOA processes, and ERC regulations.
• Familiarity with power scheduling, settlements, nominations, and market transactions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Professional Engineering license is an advantage but not required.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of the Trading Operations team.
• Ensure timely processing of power scheduling, nominations, settlements, and related operational activities.
• Monitor market information and assist in operational decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with WESM, ERC, DOE, and company policies.
• Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, customers, and market operators regarding operational concerns.
• Review operational reports and ensure the accuracy of trading data and documentation.
• Assist in resolving operational issues and implementing process improvements.
• Prepare operational reports and provide updates to Management.
• Coach and guide team members to ensure efficient daily operations.
