Traffic Control Technician / Flagger

The Job: A traffic control technician or flagger is responsible for directing vehicles and pedestrians in and around a construction site. Flagger certification is not required to apply, we can certify you!

Job Description:

• Set up and take down cones, signs, and other traffic control devices around roadwork or construction zones.
• Help direct vehicles and pedestrians safely through work areas.
• Communicate with members of the public and others at the job site.
• Follow all safety rules and instructions to keep yourself and others safe.
• Work closely with your team and site supervisors to keep traffic flowing smoothly.
• Keep equipment clean, organized, and ready for the next job.

Work Location:

• State of New Jersey - East Brunswick, South River area

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
• Able to stand for long periods and work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Comfortable lifting up to 30lbs and working around traffic.
• Willing to complete traffic control/flagger certification training (provided if needed).
• Dependable, safety-minded, and able to follow directions well.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active Flagger certification (ATSSA, National Safety Council, or other NJ Approved flagger program)
• OSHA 10 or 30
• preference is given to candidates who are already certified
• Drivers license and a vehicle is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
