Traffic Controller

Volley Recruit is currently seeking experienced Traffic Controllers to assist with project works in Adelaide's Western Suburbs

We are looking for candidates who have proven hands-on experience in traffic management, including traffic diversions, road closures and managing traffic around active civil worksites.

Role Overview

• Traffic control across civil construction and infrastructure projects
• Implementing and maintaining traffic management arrangements on active worksites
• Managing traffic diversions and lane changes
• Assisting with and implementing road closures
• Controlling vehicle and pedestrian movements around work zones
• Setting up and maintaining traffic control devices and signage
• Communicating effectively with supervisors, traffic management teams and site crews
• Maintaining a strong focus on worker, pedestrian and public safety

Essential Requirements

• TMI1 Ticket – MUST HAVE
• Proven practical experience in traffic management – MUST HAVE
• Demonstrated experience managing traffic diversions and road closures
• Experience working around active civil construction and infrastructure projects
• White Card
• Own 2-way radio
• Strong understanding of traffic management procedures and site safety
• Ability to follow Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes
• Reliable transport and strong work ethic
• Ability to work locally across Adelaide and surrounding areas

We are specifically seeking experienced Traffic Controllers, not candidates who only hold the relevant ticket.

You will need to demonstrate previous experience with:

• Traffic diversions
• Road closures
• Lane closures
• Stop/slow traffic control
• Traffic management setups
• Managing traffic around active civil works
• Working alongside civil crews and site supervisors
