Traffic Control Specialist
Join our team as a Traffic Control Specialist and be a vital part of ensuring safety and efficiency on roadway construction and maintenance projects. In this dynamic role, you will manage traffic flow, set up and maintain work zone safety measures, and support heavy equipment operators to keep civil infrastructure projects progressing smoothly. Your expertise will help protect workers, motorists, and the public while maintaining compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and dismantle traffic control devices such as cones, barriers, signs, and flagging equipment in accordance with approved traffic management plans
• Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic around construction zones to ensure safety for workers and the public
• Follow FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations for commercial truck driving when operating or assisting with transport vehicles
• Support roadway maintenance efforts by performing manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and working with construction materials and tools

Skills

• Strong knowledge of road construction processes and highway maintenance practices
• Familiarity with construction site safety standards and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines
• Excellent outdoor work ethic with the ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting in various weather conditions
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations for commercial vehicle operation and safety compliance

Pay: $21.24 - $22.36 per hour
