Trailer Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine preventative maintenance and comprehensive repairs on various trailer types.
• Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues.
• Inspections: Conduct thorough safety and quality inspections to proactively identify and resolve potential problems.
• Component Replacement: Repair or replace worn and damaged parts, including bearings, brakes, axles, lights, and suspension systems.
• Upgrades & Wiring: Install standard and custom hitches, brake controllers, and specialized wiring systems.
• Seasonal Equipment: Install, repair, and service snowplows, salt spreaders, and associated electrical/wiring configurations.

Job Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional mechanical experience required (specifically in mechanical troubleshooting).
• Technical Skills: Proven expertise in servicing bearings, brakes, axles, brake controllers, wiring, and trailer systems.
• Fabrication: Proficiency in welding and torching techniques.
• Capabilities: Strong mechanical aptitude, advanced problem-solving skills, and physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and manual labor.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and customers.
• Detail-Oriented: Focused on safety, precision, and top-tier quality of work.
• Licensing: Must possess a current and valid Driver’s License.
• Tools: Ownership of basic/some standard mechanic tools is required.

Schedule & Location

• Type: Full-time, In-Person
• Shift: 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday
• Weekends: Every other Saturday (8:00 AM – 2:00 PM)

Pay: $24.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 45.0 per week
