Duties

• Assist experienced auto appraisers in evaluating vehicle damage and estimating repair costs using automotive diagnostics tools
• Conduct preliminary vehicle inspections, including mechanical troubleshooting and assessing vehicle systems
• Gather detailed information from customers regarding vehicle history and damage reports to support accurate appraisals
• Support inventory management of automotive parts and accessories, ensuring proper stocking and organization
• Utilize dealership software such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for recordkeeping and documentation
• Engage with customers to build rapport, explain appraisal processes, and answer questions professionally
• Help maintain accurate records of vehicle assessments, repair estimates, and parts inventory using Microsoft Office tools
• Support sales management efforts by assisting with automotive parts sales and client communication

Experience

• Previous experience or familiarity with automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, or automotive repair is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory control and order fulfillment efficiently
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly valued for engaging diverse customers
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and accessories, dealership operations, and retail sales processes is advantageous
• Experience with POS (Point of Sale) systems, customer relationship building, and retail math will enhance your effectiveness in this role
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and inventory management software such as CMMS is a plus
• Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting skills and an understanding of vehicle systems will support your success as a trainee auto appraiser
