What they need

Gundilya is proud to have partnered with River Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project to create a rare and exciting opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates to kickstart a long-term career in Business.

This is more than just a traineeship — it's your chance to gain hands-on experience on one of South Australia's largest and most significant projects, supported by some of the best leaders and mentors in the industry.

We are opening the door to multiple opportunities across various areas of the business, offering real career pathways beyond the traineeship.

About the Opportunity

The River Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Project is South Australia's largest infrastructure project and will create a non-stop South Road between Gawler and Old Noarlunga. Drivers will bypass 21 sets of traffic lights between the River Torrens and Darlington as they travel through two separate tunnels, connected by an open motorway.

As a Business Administration Trainee, you will complete a 12-month, full-time traineeship (Certificate III in Business Administration) while gaining exposure across key areas of a Tier 1 project, that could include:

  • Work Health & Safety
  • Project Administration
  • Environmental & Compliance
  • Document Control
  • Procurement & Purchasing
  • Finance & Payroll Support
  • Contract Administration
  • Data & Reporting
  • Stakeholder Communication
  • General Business Operations

This is a unique rotational-style opportunity, giving you insight into how major projects operate while helping you discover where your strengths and interests lie.

What Makes This Opportunity Different

  • Work on a Tier 1 infrastructure project with industry-leading professionals
  • Be supported by experienced leaders and mentors who genuinely invest in your growth
  • Be part of a collaborative partnership focused on creating real, long-term outcomes
  • Gain exposure to multiple career pathways across the business
  • Opportunity for ongoing employment and career progression upon successful completion

What We're Looking For

  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander (Identified Position)
  • A genuine commitment to completing a 12-month traineeship
  • Motivated, reliable, and ready to learn
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Basic computer skills and communication abilities
  • MS Office basics including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency

No prior experience is required — just the drive to take on a huge opportunity and build a long-term career.

What You'll Get

  • Certificate III in Business Administration (Nationally Recognised)
  • Paid, full-time traineeship
  • Hands-on experience on the T2D Project
  • Exposure to multiple areas of a Tier 1 business
  • Ongoing mentoring and cultural support through Gundilya
  • Clear pathway into ongoing roles across the project and beyond
