Trainee Commis Chef

Woody's Bar is located in the heart of Woodland Waters Holiday Park in Ancaster, halfway between Grantham & Sleaford. Catering for Events as well as having a busy bar and restaurant.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of a chef or senior cook
• Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
• Assist in supervising and training kitchen staff
• Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
• Take inventory of food supplies and notify the chef or manager of any shortages

Requirements:

• Previous experience working in a restaurant or culinary environment is preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Leadership skills to assist in supervising and training kitchen staff
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
