Our team brings regional trade expos, brand activations, and corporate showcases to life right across Teesside, and we are holding open interviews in Middlesbrough this week for a practical Trainee Events Manager ready to hit the floor within two weeks.

What Your Day-to-Day Involves

• Drafting master run sheets, floor layout plans, loading bay slots, and kit check-lists alongside senior producers.
• Calling venue managers, AV suppliers, and catering coordinators to double-check access times and electrical points.
• Guiding floor crews during registration counter assembly, banner placements, and display stand builds before doors open.
• Welcoming corporate clients upon arrival, conducting venue walk-throughs, and confirming speaker timetables.
• Overseeing guest sign-in desks, badge printing, and entry queue flow during peak morning arrivals.
• Monitoring live stage sessions, assisting guest speakers with microphones, and handling on-the-spot floor requests.
• Directing post-event kit pack-downs, auditing stock back into transit cases, and getting venue sign-offs.
• Writing brief post-campaign summary notes and reviewing attendee feedback metrics with project leads.

Suitable Candidate Profile

Previous experience is a plus, but not essential as full training is provided. We welcome backgrounds in venue operations, retail supervision, hospitality, administration, or university event societies.

• Strong organisational instincts and comfort managing practical details during live event hours.
• Professional, polite speaking style when dealing with corporate clients and venue directors.
• Punctual work ethic and confidence giving simple, direct instructions to shift crew.
• Full availability to start work in Middlesbrough within 2 weeks.

• Pay Rate: £26,000 base salary per annum plus campaign delivery bonuses
