Trainee GRP Finisher / Repairer

Main Purpose of Role

We are looking for a Trainee GRP Finisher / Repairer to join our production team at Walker Modular.

The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training to develop the skills required to repair and finish GRP components within our modular bathroom pods, ensuring they meet the company's quality standards.

No previous GRP experience is required, although experience in a manufacturing or production environment would be beneficial.

You will be expected to carry out duties normally associated with and incidental to this role. This job description serves as a guide to your key responsibilities and duties.

Main Job Responsibilities

• Learn and develop the skills required to carry out GRP finishing and repairs on modular bathroom pods.
• Assist experienced GRP Finishers / Repairers with day-to-day repair work.
• Learn how to identify defects and carry out repairs to the required quality standards.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment at all times.
• Follow all Health and Safety procedures and wear the appropriate PPE.
• Work towards achieving departmental production and quality targets.
• Follow instructions and guidance provided by experienced colleagues and supervisors.
• Develop the ability to work independently as skills and experience progress.

Preferred but Not Essential

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience using hand tools or carrying out practical repair work.
• Basic knowledge of GRP finishing or repairs.

Full training will be provided, so previous GRP experience is not essential.
