Trainee Inspector

About The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Inspector to join our friendly, dynamic, and progressive team.

With a focus on Inspection and Quality, you will be trained in ensuring that all our products are produced to the highest standard and are completed in an efficient manner, whilst ensuring that all processes and practices are implemented correctly.

The main purposes of the Trainee Inspector role are:

• To assist with the inspection of all machined parts, this includes both our CNC & Manual workshops.
• To answer any questions that may arise regarding drawings and/or machined parts.

Main duties (including supervisory and task responsibilities):

• To visually and dimensionally inspect all incoming work, work in progress, and finished parts, ensuring that they meet all specifications.
• Measure and inspect assembled parts using our CMM equipment, ensuring that accurate results are recorded. Please note that training will be provided if necessary.
• Be able to understand and interpret customer specifications and technical drawings.
• Report any non-conforming parts using the correct procedure.
• Assist in developing the Quality Management System alongside Management and leading by example.

What we want from you:

• A basic understanding of engineering drawings.
• A general understanding of handheld measuring equipment.
• To be mathematically minded.
• Possess a strong attention to detail.
• Have strong communication skills.
• To be able to work unsupervised.
• To be willing to learn, and to have a sense of flexibility in your approach to work.

Salary: £30,000
