Precision Joinery Services is a growing joinery and specialist fire door contractor working on projects across the UK.

We are looking for a Trainee Joiner who is keen to build a long-term career within the joinery and fire door industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is hardworking, reliable and eager to learn.

You don’t need to be an experienced fire door installer — we will invest in the right person and provide training and qualifications to help you progress.

The Role

As a Trainee Joiner, you will work alongside experienced joiners and fire door specialists, learning the skills required to carry out high-quality joinery and fire door works.

Your training will include:

• Fire door installation
• Fire door maintenance
• Fire door remedial works
• Door adjustments and repairs
• Basic joinery and carpentry
• Using hand and power tools safely
• Understanding fire door components and hardware
• Working to manufacturer specifications and industry standards
• Completing job paperwork and maintaining good workmanship standards

The role involves UK-wide travel, so occasional overnight stays and working away from home will be required.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is hardworking and reliable
• Has a genuine interest in carpentry and joinery
• Is willing to learn and develop
• Has good attention to detail
• Can work well as part of a team
• Has a professional attitude
• Is comfortable travelling and occasionally working away from home
• Holds a full UK driving licence or is working towards one

Previous Experience

Previous joinery, carpentry or construction experience is advantageous but not essential.

An NVQ, college qualification, apprenticeship or some practical experience with tools would be beneficial, but attitude and willingness to learn are just as important to us.
