Trainee (Laboratory)

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Control Union, at Navi Mumbai, India for TRAINEE.

As a Trainee, you will be responsible for customer service support, sample receipt, sample login/logout, LIMS entry, report filing, subcontracting coordination, and sample tracking activities at our Laboratory in Juinagar, Navi Mumbai.

The role ensures proper sample traceability, documentation, and smooth coordination between customers, sales teams, laboratories, and subcontracting agencies.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Receive samples and verify against customer test requests.
• Perform sample login, registration, coding, labeling, and sample transfer activities.
• Enter and update sample information in LIMS and maintain data accuracy.
• Coordinate sample movement between laboratory sections and sample storage areas.
• Manage sample logout, return disposal, and retention activities as per procedures.
• Prepare and dispatch samples for subcontract testing and track their status.
• Coordinate with customers and sales teams regarding sample status, testing progress, and report timelines.
• Maintain records of sample receipt, subcontracting activities, and report filing.
• Support issuance, filing, and archival of test reports and laboratory records.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, ISO 17025 requirements, GLP, and laboratory quality procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping and documentation practices.

Requirements

• B.Sc./M.Sc. Chemistry or related science.
• 0-2 years of laboratory or sample management experience.
• Basic knowledge of LIMS, documentation, and laboratory operations, would be advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
