About the Role

Are you practical, hands-on, and curious about how machinery works? We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team in a hands-on role combining poultry care with machinery maintenance.

You will start by learning the ropes of poultry house upkeep and assisting with manure belt systems, with opportunities to expand your technical skills across a wide range of farm machinery. Previous poultry experience isn't essential—we are looking for the right attitude and a willingness to learn, and we'll provide full training.

· Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

· Hourly Rate: £13.00 per hour starting salary; as a trainee, we are happy to increase your pay as soon as you get the hang of the work and build your confidence!

· Bonus System: Performance-based bonus system (up to £90.00 per week based on KPIs) for hard work, commitment, and meeting targets.

· Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Occasional weekend shifts (1 in 4 min. once trained) may be required from 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

· License Required: Driving licence required.

Key Responsibility

· Initial Focus:

· Assisting with manure belt breakdowns and routine maintenance.

· Learning to maintain manure belts and conveyor systems.

· Career Progression & Cross-Training: Once preventative maintenance and zero breakdowns for manure belts are achieved, you will receive additional training in:

· Ventilation and environmental-control systems.

· Farm packing machinery.

· Automatic feed systems.

· Egg collection systems.

· Vehicles and plant machinery.

· Welding.

Requirements

· Practical and hands-on approach.

· Genuine interest in machinery and how things work.

· Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.

· Able to follow instructions closely and solve problems effectively.

· Comfortable working outdoors and in a dusty farm environment.

· Able to work safely around machinery and livestock.

· Physically capable of meeting the demands of the role.

· Valid driving licence.
