About the Role

We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Operators to join our client's team working in the Australian Submarine Corporation supporting the Australian Defence Force (ADF) based in Henderson. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, develop practical skills, and build a career within a Defence environment.

As a Trainee Operator, you will receive comprehensive training and support while learning to operate equipment, follow production processes, and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will gain hands-on experience and develop the knowledge required to become a competent operator. Females are warmly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning of submarines and frigates
• Enter and Work in Confined Spaces e.g. diesel and water tanks
• Sentry Work
• Fire watch
• Available Mon to Sunday, day shift and night shift
• 10 to 12 hours per shift
• High Safety standard
• Good work ethic

About You

If you have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, strong communication and teamwork skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately, we'd love to hear from you. You will be reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious, and while previous experience is beneficial, it is not required as full training will be provided.

Essential:

• Full C Class Licence
• Australian Citizenship
• White card
• Ability to obtain clear police check
• Commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Highly Desirable:

• Confined Space Entry (CSE) (within 2 years)
• Working at Heights (WAH) (within 2 years)
