Trainee, Procurement

Key responsibilities

• Process Purchase Requisitions (PR) and create Purchase Orders (PO) accurately and within agreed timelines.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement requests are complete and compliant with company policies.
• Coordinate with suppliers regarding quotations, order confirmations, deliveries, and invoice-related matters.
• Perform supplier onboarding and maintain vendor master data in the system.
• Monitor procurement transactions and follow up on outstanding orders.
• Support sourcing activities by gathering quotations and comparing pricing from approved suppliers.
• Ensure procurement documentation and records are accurately maintained.
• Assist in resolving purchase order, invoice, and goods receipt discrepancies.
• Support month-end closing activities and procurement reporting.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, controls, and service level agreements (SLAs).

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Finance, or related disciplines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
• Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa, or other ERP systems is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced shared services environment.
