TRAINEE PRODUCTION OPERATOR (CAN MAKING)

Jamestrong Packaging is one of Australasia's leading manufacturers of metal packaging, supplying innovative packaging solutions to some of the region's most recognised food and aerosol brands.

We are seeking for a motivated, safety-conscious Trainee Production Operator to join our Kyabram Can Making team.

No prior experience in Can Making is required as you will be trained by experienced operators to safely and confidently run production machinery, with a clear path to becoming a fully competent .

About the Role

• Learning to safely and efficiently operate can making production machinery under the guidance of experienced operators.
• Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet daily production targets and improve machine efficiency
• Building skills in machine set-up, basic troubleshooting and changeovers
• Carrying out quality checks and documentation, and helping reduce spoilage and downtime
• Contributing to a clean, organised workplace through 5S and Lean Manufacturing practices
• Working as part of a positive, close-knit production team

About You

• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and genuine willingness to learn
• Good attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely around machinery
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime as required
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Previous factory, production or mechanical experience is a bonus — but not essential

Pay: $30.00 – $34.49 per hour
