Good projects don't stay on track by accident. They need someone who can organise people, priorities and deadlines while keeping sight of the end goal.

We're looking for a Trainee Project Manager in Chelmsford to develop practical experience supporting commercial sales and marketing projects.

This isn't a construction, engineering or IT project management position. You'll work on customer acquisition and marketing campaigns, learning how projects are planned, coordinated, measured and improved.

Previous project management experience isn't required.

What You'll Learn to Manage

• Support projects from initial brief through to delivery
• Understand project goals, timelines and expected outcomes
• Coordinate day-to-day campaign activity
• Keep track of priorities, deadlines and project updates
• Monitor results against agreed targets
• Communicate with team members and key stakeholders
• Identify problems and help keep projects on track
• Gather customer and campaign feedback
• Prepare project updates and performance information
• Support meetings, planning sessions and project reviews
• Take on greater project ownership as your experience develops

You'll start by understanding how campaigns work at ground level before gradually taking more responsibility for planning, coordination, people and performance.

What We're Looking For

You don't need a project management qualification or previous management experience.

We're looking for someone who is organised, commercially minded and comfortable taking responsibility. You'll need to communicate well, manage your time effectively and stay focused when several things are happening at once.

Experience in business, sales, marketing, customer service, events or team-based environments can be useful, but isn't essential.
