Job Summary

Ucalux Construction Management and Contracting is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Corp Member with a degree in Quantity Surveying to join our Quantity Surveying Team as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor.

The successful candidate will support the QS Team with quantity take-offs, measurements, cost estimation, documentation, valuations, and other commercial activities across our construction projects. This role provides an opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in quantity surveying and construction project management while completing your NYSC programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of cost estimates, material schedules, and project cost documentation.
• Assist with site measurements, valuations, and monitoring of project costs.
• Support the review of supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities, costs, materials, and other commercial information.
• Assist the QS Team with project documentation, reports, and cost control activities.
• Participate in site visits and support the team with other quantity surveying and commercial activities as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying is mandatory.
• Must be a fresh Corp Member who has just completed NYSC Camp and is currently seeking a PPA.
• Must be available to commence PPA promptly.
• Prior internship, industrial training, or practical experience in Quantity Surveying or construction is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Proximity to Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi is preferred.
