Trainee Social Media Manager

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Help plan, design, and schedule social media content on the various platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Assist in day-to-day posting and engagement (likes, comments, messages)
• Help keep an eye on social media trends, hashtags, and platform updates
• Work with the design and marketing team to design visually effective posts
• Help monitor performance metrics (likes, shares, reach, etc.) and prepare simple reports
• Help run social media campaigns and promotions
• Help keep a consistent brand voice and aesthetic
• Carry out competitor research and audience study
• Learn to make use of applications such as Canva, Buffer, Hootsuite, or Meta Business Suite
• Attend brainstorming and content strategy sessions

Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, or related field (completed or in progress)
• Basic knowledge about social media platforms and their operations
• Creativity and passion for digital trends and content development
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Canva, Instagram Reels, and scheduling tools (desired)
• Good writing and communication abilities
• Team-working skills
• Will to learn social media marketing techniques and analytics
• Maintaining any personal blog or social media page is an added advantage
