Trainee Solid Fuel Engineer

We are looking for a Trainee Solid Fuel Engineer to join our team.

You don’t need any previous experience in the industry as full training will be given. We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, practical, happy to work as part of a team and, most importantly, willing to learn.

You’ll be working alongside our experienced engineers and learning all aspects of the job, including:

• Installing wood-burning stoves
• Chimney and flue work
• Chimney sweeping
• Servicing and maintaining stoves
• Fault finding and remedial work
• Using tools and equipment safely
• Working in customers’ homes and properties

Good basic English and maths would be useful, but no previous industry experience is needed.

The job

Full time, permanent

Monday to Friday

8am–5pm

Based from Knightsmill, St Teath, working throughout Cornwall

Training and industry qualifications provided

Start date: ASAP

You’ll start on the applicable National Minimum Wage/National Living Wage, with your pay reviewed as you learn, gain experience and take on more responsibility. There’s plenty of opportunity to progress for the right person.

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 per week
