Trainee Store Manager – Milano Couture | Bullring & Grand Central, Birmingham

Milano Couture is opening a brand new store at Bullring & Grand Central, Birmingham, and we’re looking for an ambitious, experienced and reliable Trainee Store Manager to join our team.

We specialise in men’s formalwear and casualwear, helping customers find the right look for every occasion.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong retail experience who is ready to take the next step into store management.

You’ll work closely with upper management, learning the day-to-day operation of the store while helping to lead the team, drive sales and maintain high standards.

The aim is for the successful candidate to develop into a Store Manager position, based on performance, progress and business needs.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting the day-to-day running of the store
• Working closely with upper management
• Leading by example and delivering great customer service
• Helping motivate and support the sales team
• Working towards individual and store sales targets
• Assisting with opening and closing the store
• Helping manage stock deliveries and replenishment
• Maintaining strong shop-floor and visual standards
• Dealing with customer queries professionally
• Taking responsibility for the store when required

What we’re looking for:

• Previous retail experience
• Previous supervisory, team leader or management experience would be a strong advantage
• Confident and professional communication
• Reliable, punctual and committed
• Comfortable leading and supporting a team
• Good organisation and problem-solving skills
• Strong customer service and sales focus
• Positive attitude and genuine desire to progress into management
• Flexible availability across weekdays and weekends

Experience in fashion, menswear or sales-focused retail would be a bonus, but isn’t essential.
