Trainee Weighbridge Operator/Scheduler

LS Quarry is a family owned business operating for over 20 years in North East Victoria. We are rapidly growing with approximately 120 staff and, along with our quarry operations, we also provide concrete batching and mobile crushing services.

About the role

We have a trainee position available on our busy weighbridge which includes transport scheduling, office administration and reception duties. This would suit a new individual to the workforce, providing a great starting point for many other opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Answer telephones and greet customers, suppliers and sub-contractors
• Take customer orders, schedule deliveries and organise trucks to complete the schedule on a daily basis
• Liaise with the Quarry and Transport Manager to ensure products are delivered in accordance with the daily delivery schedule
• Liaise with drivers for each load as they enter the quarry, verify load on weighbridge, issue dockets to drivers
• Check delivery schedule for each load leaving the quarry
• Record axle weights for the quarry trucks running under Mass Management
• Ensure all documentation is completed and filed daily
• Data entry including inputting new customer details and updates, orders and invoicing
• Apply payments made with credit cards
