Job Title: Trainer Capacity Building (Two Vacancies)

Location: Ahmedabad (with frequent travel to project sites)

Job Type: Full-time (Renewable two-year contract, including six months' probation)

Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

About Us Sense International India (Sense India) is the first and only non-governmental organisation established to support the development of comprehensive services for people with deafblindness and multiple disabilities throughout India. We work with local, national, and international partners to provide innovative solutions and ensure everyone facing these challenges has access to opportunities and support.

The Role Reporting to the Master Trainer - Capacity Building, you will support partner organisations through targeted training and skill-building activities aimed at supporting children and young adults with deafblindness and their families. You will be heavily involved in content creation, documentation, and monitoring the quality of partner services.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify training needs and design comprehensive skill-building training packages for stakeholders, project partners, and families.
• Manage our online Learning Management System (LMS), including course batches, scheduling sessions with faculty, and driving candidate enrollment.
• Follow up with partner organisations to measure the impact of capacity-building initiatives and support activities.
• Maintain a database of conducted courses and prepare the annual training and event calendar for the organisation.
• Document the impact on service users and support cross-organisational report writing.
• Contribute to research, publications, and articles focused on deafblindness and multiple disabilities.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Graduate with a diploma or higher education in a disability field (e.g., Deafblindness, Visual/Hearing Impairment, Intellectual/Multiple Disabilities) OR in Therapy (Physio, Occupational, Speech, etc.).
• A minimum of two years of experience working with children and young adults with disabilities.
• Proven experience organizing training programmes in collaboration with various stakeholders.
• Proficient in computer operations, including MS Office and online learning systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in Hindi and English (knowledge of a regional language is a plus).
• Willingness to learn how to communicate with persons with deafblindness and multiple disabilities.
• Successful candidates must clear mandatory background checks in compliance with our Safeguarding System.

Pay: ₹9,300.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Ahmedabad, Gujarat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
