Training & Development Manager - (Retail)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) to identify capability gaps and develop learning initiatives aligned with business objectives.
• Design, implement, and manage learning and development programs to enhance employee capabilities across retail and corporate functions.
• Partner closely with business leaders, HR, and operations teams to recommend and deliver effective learning solutions.
• Develop competency frameworks, career development pathways, and succession planning initiatives.
• Facilitate classroom training, workshops, coaching sessions, and leadership development programs.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, operational KPIs, feedback, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support employee performance and capability development through field coaching and business partnering.
• Manage training records, learning documentation, budgets, and vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational development and change management initiatives.
• Lead learning projects and contribute to the continuous enhancement of the organization's learning culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Education, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of Learning & Development experience, preferably within the retail, luxury retail, hospitality, or service industry.
• Strong experience in training needs analysis, curriculum development, facilitation, coaching, and learning evaluation.
• Experience working closely with business stakeholders and retail operations.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate business needs into effective learning solutions.
• Passionate about developing people and driving organizational capability.

Preferred Background

• Experience in luxury retail, premium consumer brands, hospitality, or customer experience-focused industries.
• Exposure to leadership development, competency framework design, and succession planning.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and learning analytics is an advantage.
