Training and Development Program OFficer

About the role

The Training and Development Officer works directly with our T&D team to spearhead capacity-building interventions anchored on AHA's three-fold framework: academics, social-emotional learning, and support system skills. This is a hybrid role based in Metro Manila, with community immersion and occasional nationwide travel to lead training programs on the ground.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate online and face-to-face workshops for teachers, school heads, and parents; master AHA's core learning interventions
• Adapt and create learning materials tailored to the specific needs of local partner communities
• Build trust-based relationships with school heads, master teachers, parents, and local partners to foster collaborative problem-solving
• Support school visits to provide guidance on curriculum implementation, instructional strategies, and learner engagement
• Manage monitoring tools, track project deliverables, and handle admin requirements (procurement of training supplies, expense reporting, liquidations)
• Orient and manage volunteers while ensuring strict child safety and policy compliance across all activities

About you

• Graduate of Education, Psychology, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Community Development, or related fields
• 1–2 years of experience in training facilitation, education programs, NGO work, or community-based projects
• Proven ability to facilitate engaging workshops (online or face-to-face) and adapt learning materials
• Organized, detail-oriented, with basic project management skills (planning, tracking, reporting) and comfort handling procurement/liquidations
• Excellent communication skills in English and Filipino/Taglish; willing to travel nationwide when needed
• Deeply values child safety, inclusivity, social-emotional learning, and community-centered work
