What they need

This is not your typical coordination role. You'll be joining a specialist training business supporting the transport industry, sitting within a close-knit team that helps customers get the training, compliance and support they need to keep their businesses moving.

The wider business has over 300 people across NZ and Australia and are continuing growth year on year, but despite the size and growth, they've held onto a genuinely down-to-earth culture where people back each other, take ownership and aren't afraid to have a laugh along the way.

You'll be right at the heart of the action, working with customers, trainers and the wider team to coordinate courses, manage schedules and make sure everything runs smoothly. It's busy, varied and definitely not a role where you'll be sitting around waiting for something to do. This role will commence as a 12 month FTC to cover maternity leave.

What you'll be doing:

  • Coordinating and optimising training schedules across the region
  • Managing course bookings, registrations, paperwork and customer communications
  • Responding to customer enquiries and helping them understand the right training options
  • Coordinating trainers, including travel and accommodation for specialised courses
  • Following up on payments, enquiries and upcoming course opportunities
  • Making sure trainees have everything they need before their training
  • Managing training materials, records, certificates and NZQA registrations
  • Supporting trainers with the administration that sits around course delivery
  • Producing and analysing reports around course utilisation, revenue and performance
  • Becoming a whizz on the business's systems and helping improve how they're used

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in a coordination, customer service, operations or administration role
  • Someone highly organised who genuinely enjoys juggling multiple moving parts
  • Strong communication skills and confidence dealing with customers over the phone
  • Calm under pressure and able to adapt when priorities change at short notice
  • Naturally proactive and intuitive, you'll work things out rather than waiting to be told
  • Commercially minded, with an eye for maximising course attendance and making things work efficiently
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems
  • Someone who enjoys being part of a team and supporting those around them
  • A warm, approachable personality with a genuine focus on customer experience
  • Ability to start in August or early September

If you're someone who likes being busy, enjoys solving problems and wants a role where you can genuinely make things happen, this could be a really good fit.
