Who We Are
GECO Asia is a technology consulting and talent development company headquartered in Singapore, helping organizations accelerate digital transformation through AI, technology solutions, workforce development, and capability-building programmes across the region.
As part of our growth in Malaysia, we are expanding our training and workforce development business, including HRDC claimable programmes, AI and digital skills training, capability development initiatives, and government-funded projects.
We are looking for an experienced individual who understands the Malaysian training market inside out and can help drive programme commercialisation, HRDC processes, grants, and government engagement.
Responsibilities
HRDC & Training Operations
- Lead HRDC-related activities — training provider matters, programme registration, trainer accreditation, grant applications, claims and compliance.
- Ensure training programmes meet HRDC requirements and remain eligible for funding and claims.
- Monitor HRDC updates, policies and funding schemes.
Training Business Development
- Support the growth and commercialisation of GECO Asia's training programmes.
- Advise on training market trends, pricing, positioning and demand in Malaysia.
- Identify opportunities for new programmes, partnerships and funding initiatives.
Government Grants & Applications
- Manage applications and submissions to government agencies and funding bodies.
- Research and identify grants, incentives and workforce development programmes relevant to GECO Asia.
- Coordinate supporting documentation and liaise with agencies throughout the application process.
Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
- Build relationships with HRDC, MDEC, TalentCorp, industry associations and ecosystem partners, and represent GECO Asia at industry and government engagements.
Programme Governance & Reporting
- Maintain training, grant and compliance records, and prepare performance updates and recommendations for management.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business, Education, Training & Development, or a related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in corporate training, learning & development, or workforce development industry.
- Hands-on experience with HRDC grants, claims, programme registration and training provider processes.
- Experience working with government agencies on grant applications and funding programmes.
- Strong understanding of Malaysia's training and HRDC ecosystem, including how training providers operate commercially.
- Familiarity with gov agencies; existing relationships in the ecosystem are an advantage.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple applications and deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Benefits
- Opportunity to build and shape GECO Asia's Malaysia training business.
- Competitive salary and performance incentives.
- Direct engagement with government agencies, industry partners and enterprise clients.
- Exposure to AI, digital transformation and emerging technology initiatives.
- Regional collaboration opportunities across Southeast Asia.
