Training Development Manager ( FnB )

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Training Development Manager (FnB) to join our team on a full-time basis in Jakarta. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering comprehensive training and assessment programmers tailored specifically to the food and beverage industry. You will play a crucial role in building the capability and competence of our workforce, ensuring compliance with industry standards and driving operational excellence across all departments. This position is integral to our mission of maintaining superior service quality and creating a skilled, engaged team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design comprehensive training programmes and curricula specific to food and beverage operations, including front-of-house, back-of-house and management roles
• Deliver engaging training sessions and workshops to staff at all levels, utilising a variety of instructional methods and learning technologies
• Create and maintain detailed training documentation, materials, assessments and learning resources tailored to FnB industry requirements
• Conduct training needs analyses to identify skill gaps and determine areas requiring development across the organisation
• Assess employee competency and performance through structured evaluation methods, tests and practical assessments
• Develop and implement standardised assessment frameworks to measure training effectiveness and employee progression
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of training programmes on operational performance and employee development
• Maintain detailed training records and produce reports on training delivery, completion rates and outcomes
• Stay current with FnB industry standards, best practices and compliance requirements, ensuring training content remains relevant and up-to-date
• Collaborate with departmental managers and operational teams to ensure training aligns with business objectives and addresses operational challenges
• Mentor and support team members involved in training delivery and assessment activities

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience in training and development, with substantial experience within the food and beverage or hospitality industry
• Proven expertise in designing and delivering workplace training programmes and conducting competency assessments
• Strong knowledge of FnB industry operations, standards and regulatory compliance requirements
• Excellent instructional design skills with the ability to create engaging, effective learning materials and resources
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing assessment frameworks and measuring training effectiveness
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to deliver training to diverse audiences
• Experience using training management systems or learning management platforms
• Proficiency in Indonesian and English language (both written and spoken)
• Ability to work collaboratively with teams across different departments and management levels
• Strong organisational and project management skills with attention to detail
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing business priorities and training requirements
• Preferred: Experience in conducting on-the-job training delivery and creating practical assessment scenarios
• Preferred: Knowledge of ISO or other industry certification standards relevant to FnB operations
