Training Manager

Our client, a leading global aerospace aftermarket solutions provider with operations across 20+ countries, is seeking an experienced Training Manager for its component repair facility in Chonburi, Thailand. This role owns the design, delivery and continuous improvement of all training programs across the site, ensuring the workforce meets aviation regulatory standards (FAA, CAAC, CAAT, EASA) while building a strong bench of internal subject matter experts.
Responsibilities

• Design and coordinate all training programs, both outsourced and in-house
• Select and implement appropriate training methods and activities for varied audiences
• Deliver training fluently in both English and Thai, as required
• Design, develop and implement English proficiency and language development programs
• Provide guidance on session content, tools, techniques and procedures to stakeholders
• Conduct training needs assessments to identify skills and knowledge gaps
• Apply company and aviation-industry training and education principles across all programs
• Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials
• Assess instructional effectiveness and analyze the impact of training on employee performance
• Compile post-training Lessons Learned and debrief points
• Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with subject-matter experts on instructional design
• Maintain an updated curriculum database and training records
• Host Train-the-Trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts
• Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
• Meet or exceed company, customer and regulatory performance standards
• Ensure adherence to aviation authority regulations (FAA, CAAC, CAAT, EASA) and company safety/quality policy
• Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, promoting lean 5S methodology
• Facilitate cross-functional ERP training to enhance user proficiency
• Drive Root Cause Analyses within the department using structured methodologies
• Coordinate and work closely across all levels of the organization, including senior management, program/team leaders and individual contributors
• Take ownership for the prevention of work-related injury, ill health and accidents, and for environmental protection arising from training activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 10+ years of experience in the Airlines / Aviation industry
• 10+ years of experience in a Training function
• Minimum 12 years of demonstrable, advanced experience developing and overseeing complex training programs (delivered in English and Thai) within high-risk / high-reliability environments, including aviation industry experience
• Self-motivated with a genuine willingness to expand own knowledge
• Strong teamwork ethic and ability to foster good rapport across the organization
• Able to work shifts, overtime and weekends as required
• High attention to precision and detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Safety-conscious mindset, respectful of the opinions of others
• For expatriate candidates: formal Thai language education from an accredited institution is preferred
