Training Specialist

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Training Specialist who will support the development and execution of training programs that strengthen the knowledge, skills, and operational capabilities of our restaurant teams.

The role will work closely with Operations to identify training needs, facilitate learning programs, monitor training effectiveness, and help ensure consistent execution of Popeyes standards across restaurants.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and update training programs, learning materials, manuals, and assessments aligned with restaurant operations and business needs.
• Facilitate classroom and store-based training for restaurant team members and management employees.
• Conduct Training Needs Analysis and partner with Operations to identify competency, performance, and operational gaps.
• Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, observations, participant feedback, and post-training performance.
• Support the development and certification of restaurant employees through structured learning paths, coaching, and development programs.
• Conduct restaurant visits and provide on-the-job coaching to reinforce operational standards, service excellence, food safety, and proper procedures.
• Maintain accurate training records, completion reports, certifications, and other training KPIs, while continuously recommending improvements to learning programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Education, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in Learning & Development, Training, Restaurant Operations, or a related function.
• Experience in QSR, restaurant, retail, hospitality, or other multi-site operations is highly preferred.
• Strong background in training facilitation, instructional design, training needs analysis, and performance assessment.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety, customer service, and operational standards is an advantage.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and comfortable working with training reports and data.
• Highly organized, analytical, and capable of managing multiple training activities simultaneously.
• Willing to conduct restaurant visits, field training, and on-site training activities as required.
