Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Transaction Processing Officer to join our Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing customer transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely execution, resolving transaction issues, and maintaining excellent service standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process local and international payment transactions accurately and within agreed turnaround times.
• Verify transaction details and supporting documentation before processing.
• Monitor transaction queues to ensure prompt execution and completion.
• Investigate and resolve failed, delayed, or pending transactions.
• Reconcile daily transaction records and report any discrepancies.
• Liaise with banks, payment partners, and internal teams to resolve operational issues.
• Maintain accurate transaction records and ensure proper documentation.
• Respond to transaction-related customer inquiries and support requests in a timely manner.
• Ensure all transactions comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and operational procedures.
• Escalate complex transaction issues or operational risks to the appropriate team.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transaction processing efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1–2 years' experience in transaction processing, payment operations, banking, fintech, or a similar role.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of payment operations and financial transactions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with payment gateways, digital wallets, or cross-border payment platforms.
• Familiarity with transaction reconciliation processes.
• Knowledge of fintech operations and customer payment workflows is an added advantage.

Pay: ₦250,000.00 - ₦300,000.00 per month

Experience:

• transaction processing: 2 years (Required)
• Banking/ Financial Institutions : 2 years (Required)
