Transaction Support Analyst I

Seeking a Transaction Support Analyst I to support retail natural gas operations across multiple states. This person will investigate billing and system issues, test enhancements, and ensure customer communications, pricing, and promotions are accurate and meet state requirements.

This position follows a hybrid schedule with four days on-site per week, subject to business needs.

Responsibilities

• Review daily system reports to identify billing errors and operational issues.
• Use SQL queries to investigate problems, determine their scope, and identify root causes.
• Coordinate with IT and business teams to resolve system defects.
• Perform user acceptance testing for system fixes and enhancements before release.
• Verify accurate setup of customer rates and promotion codes.
• Audit customer letters for content, layout, mailing deadlines, and state requirements.
• Gather and document requirements for operational changes and system improvements.
• Support reporting requests and maintain standard operating procedures.
• Work with marketing, legal, regulatory, customer service, and vendor teams to improve operations.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in consumer services, billing, system operations, or business-to-consumer operations.
• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of applicable experience.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Ability to analyze data, investigate errors, and recommend solutions.
• Strong communication, organization, relationship management, and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Retail utility or natural gas marketer/supplier experience.
• Advanced database experience, including developing and executing SQL statements.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Copilot.
• Interest in applying AI tools to improve operational efficiency.
