The role focuses on Transaction PL reporting, profitability analysis, forecast performance, and pipeline quality, translating complex financial data into actionable insights that support business decisions. Working closely with regional finance, sales, and operations teams, you will help drive reporting consistency, improve forecast accuracy, and identify opportunities to enhance commercial performance and profitability.
What You Will Do
- Own the end-to-end preparation of weekly Transaction PL reporting, consolidating revenue, gross profit, units, backlog, pipeline and attainment data across global geographies and business within Commercial segment.
- Analyze weekly financial performance versus forecast, month target and historical benchmarks, identifying material revenue and margin deviations, business trends, risks and opportunities.
- Validate and reconcile financial data across multiple reporting sources, including Excel models, PowerPoint reports, PDF outputs and source-system extracts, ensuring consistency of Revenue, GP%, units and forecast attainment.
- Perform financial normalization and data-quality adjustments for abnormal or inaccurate transactions, including the calculation of normalized Revenue, GP dollars and GP percentages at geography, segment and worldwide level.
- Prepare executive-level financial commentary and management summaries, translating complex transactional data into concise performance insights, key business drivers, and required follow-up actions.
- Monitor backlog and pipeline quality, identifying transactions with abnormal Revenue or margin characteristics and coordinating with regional finance and sales teams to improve forecast and input-data accuracy.
- Develop and maintain standardized reporting models, templates and control procedures, ensuring consistent calculation logic, presentation quality and comparability across weekly reporting cycles.
- Deliver geography and segment-level profitability analysis, including customer-level Top/Bottom performance, product and business-unit margin trends, and comparisons against historical profitability benchmarks.
- Own the preparation of the monthly Transactional POR report, focusing on QtQ trending of low margin customers and deals, sub segment margin and pipilene sufficiency tracking
- Partner with regional finance, ops and sales teams to improve pipeline quality, forecast accuracy and profitability.
What You Will Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Proven experience in financial analysis, commercial finance, business controlling, FPA, financial reporting, or a similar analytical role, preferably within a multinational organization.
- Financial Analysis: Strong understanding of financial performance indicators, including Revenue, Gross Profit (GP), GP%, units, forecast attainment, backlog, pipeline, and profitability trends.
- Reporting and Forecasting: Experience preparing and analyzing periodic financial reports, comparing actual performance against forecasts, targets, and historical benchmarks, and identifying business risks and opportunities.
- Data Analysis and Reconciliation: Demonstrated ability to consolidate, validate, and reconcile large datasets from multiple reporting sources, identify discrepancies, investigate anomalies, and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Advanced Excel Skills: Strong Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data reconciliation, financial modeling, and the ability to work with large datasets. Experience with Power Query, Power Pivot, or similar data-processing tools is an advantage.
- Financial Modeling and Standardization: Experience developing and maintaining reporting models, templates, calculation methodologies, and quality-control procedures to ensure accurate and consistent reporting.
- Profitability Analysis: Ability to perform customer-, deal-, product-, business-unit-, segment-, and geography-level profitability analysis, including identifying low-margin transactions and assessing their impact on overall financial performance.
