Transfer Pricing Analyst

Revised Job Specification – Transfer Pricing Analyst (India) Role Overview This role sits within the Group Tax function and is focused on supporting global Transfer Pricing (TP) compliance, with a primary responsibility for the preparation and management of Transfer Pricing Local File documentation .

The role will work closely with global tax, finance, and business stakeholders to collect, analyse, and translate financial and operational data into high-quality, audit-ready Local File documentation using a standardised template-driven approach .

Key Responsibilities Transfer Pricing Documentation (Primary Focus)

• Lead the end-to-end preparation of Transfer Pricing Local Files across multiple jurisdictions using a standardised template approach
• Translate financial data, functional inputs, and intercompany arrangements into clear and technically robust TP documentation
• Ensure consistency with Group TP policy, OECD guidelines, and local requirements
• Maintain and update benchmarking references, comparables, and supporting data inputs (where applicable)
• Coordinate the annual Local File cycle, including timelines, stakeholder inputs, and quality reviews

Data Collection & Analysis

• Gather financial and operational data from finance teams and business stakeholders
• Analyse entity-level profitability, cost allocations, and intercompany transactions
• Perform variance analysis year-on-year to support TP narratives
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of Local File data inputs

Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as a key contact for Local File data requests across global entities
• Collaborate with regional finance teams, controllers, and tax teams to obtain required inputs
• Manage queries and follow-ups to ensure timely delivery

Process & Documentation Management

• Maintain and improve TP documentation templates and standard processes
• Support the implementation of a centralised TP documentation model (CoE approach)
• Track status of Local Files across jurisdictions and maintain documentation logs

Audit & Compliance Support

• Support responses to tax authority queries relating to Local Files
• Ensure documentation is audit-ready and aligned to group positions

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Transfer Pricing

• Ideally within a Big Four firm or multinational corporate environment

• Proven experience in:

• Drafting Transfer Pricing Local Files

• Working with template-driven TP documentation approaches

• Interpreting financial data and preparing functional analyses

• Strong understanding of:

• OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines

• Intercompany transaction types (services, royalties, distribution, etc.)

• Experience working with global / multi-jurisdictional TP documentation projects

Technical Skills

• Strong analytical capability with ability to work with large datasets
• Advanced Excel skills (financial analysis)
• Ability to translate data into structured narrative documentation

Key Competencies

• Strong written communication skills (critical for drafting Local Files)
• High attention to detail and consistency
• Ability to work independently in a centralised delivery model (CoE)
• Strong organisational and project management skills
