Transformation & Integration Architect – Healthcare (Brussels, Hybrid)

A leading organisation in the Brussels hospital sector is looking for an experienced Transformation & Integration Architect to support a large-scale digital transformation programme around a new electronic patient record (EHR/DPI) platform and its integration into the existing and future healthcare ecosystem.

In a typical week, you analyse clinical workflows and applications, define target architectures and interoperability models, and assess the impact of the new platform on infrastructure, cybersecurity, identity management and business continuity. You facilitate workshops with internal and external stakeholders - clinical staff, biomedical, IT, hospital management and third-party vendors - gather requirements, and produce detailed architecture documentation, integration roadmaps and transition plans. You also formulate pragmatic recommendations and ensure solutions comply with Belgian healthcare regulations, interoperability standards and security requirements.

This is a high-impact mission at the heart of a critical healthcare programme, where your architectural expertise directly shapes how care is delivered. The role is open on a freelance basis, and we remain flexible depending on the right profile.

1) Proven experience (15+ years) delivering healthcare IT projects, with at least 3 different EHR/EPR (DPI) systems | 2) Strong enterprise architecture expertise and solid command of interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, DICOM, IHE) | 3) Deep understanding of clinical workflows and the Belgian e-health ecosystem | 4) Experience with integration across clinical, administrative, lab, imaging and pharmacy systems (DPI, ADT/TARFAC, ERP) | 5) Project management certification (Prince2 or PMBok) and BPM modeling skills | 6) Trilingual: fluent in French, Dutch and English | 7) Strong stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills
