Transformation Change Leader

We are seeking an experienced Transformation Change Management Leader to join a major Retail organisation embarking on a significant SAP S/4HANA transformation . This is a high-profile programme that will transform core business processes across the organisation, creating a more integrated, data-driven and agile retail operation. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the business is fully prepared for the transition, helping colleagues understand not only what is changing, but why the change is important and how it will impact their day-to-day roles.

Working across a complex retail environment, you will lead the people and organisational change agenda across areas such as stores, merchandising, buying, supply chain, logistics, warehousing, inventory, finance, e-commerce and head-office functions . You will work closely with programme leadership, business process owners, SAP functional teams and senior stakeholders to understand the impact of the S/4HANA implementation and translate technical and process changes into practical business outcomes. A key part of the role will be ensuring that the transformation works for both the corporate organisation and the colleagues operating on the retail frontline.

You will be responsible for developing and executing the overall change strategy , including detailed change impact assessments, stakeholder mapping, communications, training, business readiness and adoption plans. You will identify how new SAP processes, systems and ways of working will affect different user groups and locations, ensuring that appropriate support is in place ahead of implementation and go-live. You will also establish effective feedback mechanisms so that issues, concerns and resistance are identified early and addressed throughout the transformation.

A strong understanding of the Retail operating model will be particularly important. The programme may impact everything from how products are bought and ranged, stock is managed and replenished, orders are fulfilled and deliveries are received, through to how financial information is captured and reported. You will need to understand the different pressures faced by store colleagues, distribution centres, supply chain teams, commercial functions and head-office users, and ensure that change activity is tailored accordingly.

You will also help develop and manage a network of Change Champions, Super Users and business representatives across stores, warehouses and corporate functions. This network will play an important role in building engagement, supporting local adoption and ensuring that feedback from the frontline is reflected in the programme. You will work closely with Learning and Development teams to develop role-based training and ensure colleagues have the knowledge and confidence required to operate effectively in the new SAP S/4HANA environment.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering Change Management across large-scale SAP, ERP or business transformation programmes , with strong experience in a Retail, FMCG, Consumer or similarly complex environment. Experience of SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable, along with an understanding of areas such as supply chain, merchandising, inventory, finance, procurement and retail operations. You will be an excellent communicator and influencer, comfortable engaging with senior leadership while also being able to connect with colleagues across stores, distribution centres and operational teams.
