Role Description The Transformer Designer role at Chirab Technologies is a full-time, on-site position based in Thane. The individual in this role will design and develop transformer configurations, including core, winding, and insulation specifications, to meet project and customer requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing detailed electrical designs, creating drawings and technical documentation, performing calculations for voltage, current, losses, and efficiency, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety regulations. The role also involves collaborating with electrical engineers, production teams, and quality assurance to support prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting transformer performance. The Transformer Designer will help optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and long-term reliability.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Design and Electrical Engineering, with the ability to create detailed transformer schematics and technical documentation.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Electricity and Power Systems, including voltage levels, load calculations, and fault analysis.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Power Distribution and related equipment, with an understanding of industrial and utility applications.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with relevant transformer standards and safety regulations (e.g., IEC/IS standards) and basic knowledge of insulation and thermal considerations.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with CAD or electrical design software tools and be comfortable interpreting engineering drawings.
• Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• A diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred; prior experience in transformer design or power equipment manufacturing is an advantage.
