Overview:
Translations Engineer opportunity for a telecom professional with experience supporting voice switching environments.
Responsibilities include:
- Implementing and maintaining switch translations for trunk provisioning and call routing
- Supporting network projects and major routing changes
- Troubleshooting signaling, routing, and call flow issues
- Working with Telnet tools such as PuTTY and SecureCRT
- Collaborating with network and operations teams to minimize service impact
Required Experience:
- Telecom voice switching and translations SS7, SIP, Q.931, or similar signaling protocols
- Central Office, Voice NOC, or related telecom roles
- VoIP translations experience
- Scripting experience (Python, VBS, or PERL) is a plus
