TRANSLATOR

About the role

To provide accurate translation and interpretation services in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia to support technical documentation, business communication, and operational activities, ensuring effective communication and understanding across a multilingual workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Translate documents accurately between Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia language
• Review and proofread translated materials to ensure consistency, accuracy, and appropriate terminology
• Translate company policies, procedures, technical documents, reports, presentations, and correspondence
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company information and documents
• Provide interpretation support during meetings, discussions, training sessions, audits, and site visits
• Assist communication between local and foreign employees, management, customers, vendors, and visitors
• Translate technical specifications, operating procedures, safety documents, manuals, and manufacturing-related materials
• Develop and maintain a glossary of commonly used technical and chemical manufacturing terms
• Coordinate translation requests and prioritize assignments based on business needs
• Maintain records and version control of translated documents

About you

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in Translation, Languages, Linguistics, Communications, Business Administration, Engineering or related fields
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of translation experience preferred
• Fluency in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia language
• Fluency in reading and writing of Chinese traditional, English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Professional discretion and confidentiality
• Time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Cross-cultural communication skills
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is an advantage
